History of EyeLevel

The EyeLevel forklift safety devices are the brainchild of Fraser Brown. Having difficulty in leveling the forks of his own forklift truck one day, he decided that enough was enough and that there must be an easier way to transport, lift and stack loads.

Much head scratching, drawing and designing later, the first EyeLevel was born. Significantly smaller and much less good looking than the present device, it was fitted to Fraser’s own forklift truck at the Motorcast warehouse. Visitors were amazed by the simplicity of the, then un-named, product and were keen to find out where they could be purchased. At this point, Fraser realised the true potential of this device.

Soon, after opening Fraser Brown Engineering Limited, Fraser approached Steve Smith to compile the patent application for the levelling device. Steve has since become the Commercial director for the company. Soon, not only was there patent protection, but two new names had been born: EyeLevel for counterbalance fork lift trucks and Remote EyeLevel for telescopic trucks and front loading shovels.

A few short months later, both models are being manufactured by the hundred and the company has a network of distributors throughout the UK and is actively seeking to employ a team of Area Representatives to provide local contact to the entire country.
